Always Will.

Here’s this week’s edition of Music Monday! It’s a song called “Always Will” by Hillsong Live. And it’s so new, there’s actually not a full recorded video performance of the song yet!

(Can’t see the video? No problem… just click here.)

There’s a lot of great stuff said in this song. I love the reminder that God’s love will always chase us, regardless of where we’ve been or what we have done. I think that the word “chase” is very crucial here. So many of you reading this have stories (as do I) of moments where it felt like we were running from God, yet we discovered his love to be chasing us the whole way. And when we were finally ready to turn or to come back… God’s love was there, ready to embrace and accept us.

But the lyric of this song that I especially love is that God’s “grace keeps changing me.” Man I have found that to be true in my life. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, Paul writes “therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Literally, Paul wrote that the grace he experienced from his relationship with Christ was a powerful and life-changing presence.

An encounter with God’s grace does not leave us the same. I think today we have two opportunities: an opportunity to worship God for his incredible and life-changing grace and an opportunity to extend that life-changing grace to those in need of it today. Why not do both?
