Love So High.

For today’s #MusicMonday, let’s take a look at a song called “Love So High” by Hillsong Live!

(If you can’t see the music video in your blog reader, RSS, or e-mail, please click here.)

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us form the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~Romans 8:38-39

Let that sink in. Pretty much nothing is able to separate us from the love of God that’s extended to us in Jesus Christ.

Sometimes, I allow the love of God to become this emotionally distant, esoteric concept. I trust and believe it exists. I know it’s out there… somewhere. But there are seasons in my life where it doesn’t feel real, or maybe my own doubts allow me to just think it’s too good to be true.

What I love about this song is that it brings me back to the facts; the love of God is realI need to look no further than the cross, and the price that Jesus paid for us there. He was willing to bear pain, suffering, shame, and ultimately our sin and guilt, so that we could be reunited with our heavenly Father. Unlike any other religion, Christianity isn’t based on a feeling, but a real event rooted in history. We can always look back… and draw hope.

Hope this song encourages you today!
