Teach a Man to Fish.

Recently, we finished walking through a series of messages designed to help us become spiritually strong through adopting several practices to become part of our daily life rhythms. I’m excited to announce that we have a very practical opportunity coming up here at Suncrest to help you grow in doing just that!

Cultivate Retreat HighlightOn April 26-27, Suncrest will be holding our first ever Cultivate retreat, entitled Teach a Man to Fish. Our whole goal is to help people at our church not just receive spiritual growth and instruction on Sundays at church or even through the week as part of a ministry team or community group. A key to being used by God to change lives is us growing in our relationship with him. And that happens best when (just like in any relationship) we make a daily habit of spending time with God, learning about and relating with him.

Specifically, we’re going to dive into the practices of prayer and how to study the Bible. In my opinion, these are the two core practices of cultivating a personal relationship with Jesus and are important for us to learn and grow in! We’ll have sessions on learning about the Bible and what it is, where to start reading it, and even things with prayer on topics like praying the Lord’s Prayer, confession, and some other cool stuff. Several Suncrest leaders and staff members will be teaching and offering their experience and insight, and you will not want to miss it!

So mark your calendar for the weekend of the 26th and 27th! There is a cost of $25 for everyone attending. If you want more info or to RSVP, just send an e-mail to Kay Roberts (kay.roberts@suncrest.org). I’d love to see you there and love to help you take a next step in cultivating your personal relationship with Jesus!
